Access to the world of BMW Charging comes with your BMW electric car: in the form of your BMW Charging Card and the exclusive and attractive rates it provides in the BMW Charging network. Once you have connected your vehicle, conveniently register through the My BMW app. Sign up for the Active Tariff (available for the first year without a basic fee) with your new BMW and activate your BMW Charging Card. In less than 24 hours, you'll be activated for the extensive public charging network and will be ready to charge! Simply and conveniently manage your charging processes via BMW Charging. Alongside the cost, you'll also get an overview of all your charging processes in your monthly invoice. You can access your invoice through the online portal or by email.

You will also automatically receive the IONITY Plus package^[1] for 1 year without a basic fee with all fully electric BMW cars. This lets you charge at attractive rates at IONITY high-power charging stations in Europe (offer is market-dependent).

Plug & Charge is a convenient public charging feature that no longer requires separate authentication by car or app at the charging station. As soon as you have set up Plug & Charge in a few simple steps, simply drive to a Plug & Charge-capable charging station and plug in your charging cable. That's all there is to it. Charging starts automatically and you are billed by BMW Charging or via another charging contract. Incidentally, you can sign up to multiple contracts for your vehicle. Check which charging stations support Plug & Charge in BMW Maps or in the My BMW app. When you switch off your electric motor, the Goodbye screen also displays whether the nearest charging option is working, and which contract could be used for the nearest charging process.

In Europe, IONITY's public high-power charging (HPC) network is part of the BMW Charging offer. Your BMW Charging Card is delivered with your car. No basic fee is payable with the relevant tariffs and packages for customers of new BMW plug-in hybrid vehicles and all-electric vehicles purchased from BMW dealerships and branches – so you can charge at attractive market-specific fixed prices without paying a basic fee.
